I see malarkey like this on FB. It’s trolls intentionally missing the point or misrepresenting the point using false equivalency. It’s intended to exhaust people to just giving in, because they won’t argue or discuss in honesty, and even if you deliver the point, they disappear into another sock puppet. To those defending dedications in the public space to anything related to the Confederacy, the monuments were never about history, and more about reminding people “those people” who is in charge.
