as an Xillenial, I have a pathological ability to blank out if I am being force fed a commercial. In the before times, you got 16-18 minutes of commercials for every hour of broadcast, made worse by the enshitification of cable.
On a related note, I *never* see an add on Youtube with the various script blocker I have set up. FireFox, NoScript, AdBlock Plus, and Ghostery. At the setting I have there is only 3 of 14 different domain scripts for calling this page, more if I allowed more to turn on.
