In Canada the liberals use an OIC (Order In Council) when they want to do things that harm citizens outside of their voter base without having to face any objections or debate from the opposition. It was previously only used in war time. Trudeau used it when the polls were starting to look really bad and he needed to distract people from yet another scandal. And Trudeau said he admired China’s ability to adapt their economy quickly….while also saying democracies have to work harder.
He didn’t say he wanted to be like China.
