My off base apartment had water that tasted like ass; St Mary’s was down wind of several paper mills (That fart smell of steam. That hamster cage smell of wood chips).
I like the New England water…. The tap water from the town I grew up has this mineralization that gives a light sweet sensation (no, it’s not lead acetate). Poland Springs (even though it’s a Nestle product) comes damned close to that, and would buy whenever feasible when I was in Missouri.
