Many moons ago, back when Tigers used to smoke,
TBS played Heavy Metal (heavily edited), Vampire Hunter D, and Robot Carnival all on the same night. I was hooked. Stayed up to 5 am on a school night. Sooo worth it.
After that, the only way you could get it was via bootleg. Turns out, getting the rights to play it took for ever; all the music rights were only ever negotiated for a theater release, and no one could agree on the details.
Also, somewhere in storage I’ve got roughly three dozen of the magazines.
how short sighted did those idiots have to be to not have inclusive rights for sales, good grief.
