I can sorta see the process of how this came about. It doesn’t justify it, just I can see the process. It is a beautiful combination of his Dunning-Kruger and his narcissism. He had to be (or at least think he was) the smartest man in the room. So he starts spit-balling, but spit-balling on live national TV, in front of millions of people. And it’s genuine stupid.
