For the Xmas tree for the house I grew up with, it was aggressively secured since my parents had cats. The green and red stand was nailed to the floor with 16 penny nails, and then the tree roped to the frame of the picture window that we would set it up in front. We had one little bugger that did actually climb, but it was secured against such mayhem, so it was only a couple 3 or 5 ornaments. The other trade off was all the plastic tinsel, and then having to remove the tinsel out of the cat….… Read more »
