Marishka was asleep in the back seat or the car when they hit that trailer. Jayne wasn’t decapitated. She was, however, scalped. After this accident, it was required that all trailers have a bumper. So, every time you look at the rear of a trailer and see the bumper, it’s because of this accident. Those bumpers are known as Mansfield Bars.

The death certificate says “Crushed skull with avulsion of cranium and brain.”
Avulsion literally means torn off.
