I saw her in an interview, and she said that she had no control on the way the old album was mixed, and she didn’t like it. Now she has the power, so she re-mixed it and is releasing the album the way she heard it in her head.
that’s the story, but the real reason is that someone she didn’t like bought the masters, so she’s redoing them all so their purchase is much less worth what they paid for it.
Also, she likes money!
