The ‘pectoral’ (worn on the chest) cross found in Saint Cuthbert’s coffin. It may have been buried with him in 687 or placed in the coffin in 698 when his sainthood was recognised. It was missed when King Henry VIII’s Commissioners stripped the coffin. It’s on show at Durham Cathedral.
