Boomer humor because the kid’s backpack in the first picture doesn’t have 7 full sized text books in it. My kid carries WAY less shit to school than I had to because they use laptops for everything. Also the mom smoking and the milk on the porch meant this was also before Regan made ketchup a vegetable so the kid in the first pic didn’t have to pack a lunch because the school lunches weren’t shit yet.
